Building what's next for frontline work
Fountain Labs is the innovation team at Fountain. We work side by side with customers to find the problems that matter most to frontline employers, prototype AI agents and new products to solve them, and turn what works into Fountain products.
Cohort 1 starts
The Hiring Engineer Community
A community for HR Ops leaders putting AI to work in frontline hiring. Trade skills and prompts, build together in live sessions, and learn with peers.
Things we've built
Most projects start with a real customer problem and a scrappy prototype, and many build on Cue, Fountain's AI for frontline hiring. Every screen here uses sample data.
What we share
Our skills are free to download. We just ask who you are first.
Where we build together
We'd rather show than tell. Our events put HR and talent leaders hands-on with AI, from sample-data workshops and demo workspaces to building in their own Fountain accounts at our Cue Power User Conference (CPUC).

Small team, short loops
Labs is where Fountain tries new ideas before they're products. We start from real customer problems, put prototypes in front of real users early, and hand what works to Fountain's product and engineering teams.
- 2022
Labs starts with new hire onboarding experiments.
- 2023
The onboarding work moves to a dedicated product team, and later becomes Fountain Onboard.
- 2024
Discovery for Fountain Shift, and a prototype worker support inbox.
- 2025
Fountain's first CHRO Summit, where Labs ran a hands-on build session, and a run of hands-on AI workshops.
- 2026
Cue launches with customers, and our first Cue Power User Conference.
Want to build with us?
Labs works with a small group of customers on most experiments. If there's a workflow you'd love to take off your plate, we'd like to hear about it.
